Hello everyone! Now I`d like to teach you a few new words I`ve learned from a book «The girl in the train».
The first one is GRIN (pronouncing with a short i). I swear you, it`s very rare to see such a positive word in my book, so I was happy to learn it. It means a big, wide smile.
The next word is nod. It means to move your head up and down as a way of agreeing, to give someone a sign, or to point to something
And the last, but not the least is a phrase a slap in the face. It`s when something or someone does that insults or upsets you, it can be translated as удар по самолюбию.
