I’ve wanted to get a dog since I was a child. When I was 13, I wanted to show my parents that I was responsible enough to take care of pets, so I decided to act like we already had one. I would wake up at 7 am and walk my non-existent dog in the morning before school and in the evening. I was saving money to buy my dog food and to take it to the vet. When I was 16, I started choosing a name for my dog (here is the list of the potential names, I still add manes every now and then). Here is my list:

It has been my biggest dream since I can remember. Now, when I moved out from my parents, I realized that bow nothing stops me from getting a dog, so I decided to read about how to take care of dogs to be fully prepared for a new family member, because getting a dog is comparable to getting a child if you are a responsible pet owner. So I chose this book:

I’m not a fast reader, but this book was a one evening reading for me. I was so engrossed in reading that I didn’t notice how time flew. After finishing this book I realized that there so much work to be done before getting a dog! So now I’m not so sure whether I can afford having a dog now, which made me feel downcast, but I believe it is better to learn about all the trail and tribulations beforehand.
