Hi there! Today I want to share my impressions about the Linguistic conference I attended on Friday.
I was glad to hear that we were going to the conference, because I like listening to smart people. Unfortunately, we were sitting in the Small Assembly Hall packed like sardines and although all the windows were wide opened, there were like no air at all. Maybe I expected too much from this conference, but god it was boring! The speakers were saying obvious things and I expected to hear something new. The only speaker I really liked was a woman who is the head of the Children`s library on Zvezdinka street. Basically she told us about the work of the library and I had no idea that place is so cool. They organize English and German speaking clubs, book-crossing, different extracurricular activities for children and what is more, they keep in touch with different European libraries! The librarian was so excited and so proud of that place I can`t even tell you. It was a pleasure to see that there are people who really care about what they do that much.
