My name is Maria Nowak, I’m a 26 year old Jewish woman that comes from Poland and I’m very tired. My country has suffered a lot, and my whole life I’ve been sharing the pain with my people. I believe that Lord created people so that they could toil, pray and enjoy every single minute of their mortal lives. They called us crazy when we told them that we are moving to another side of the world without a penny in our pockets, but now there are too far away for me to hear their evil whispers. Here we stand, poor and exhausted, but we know that God is by our side. I’m scared to death of what awaits me, but I feel with my whole heart that we chose the righteous path. My prayers go out to all the people who stand by me on this boat, we are the bravest of all, and luck favors the brave. We are ready for the new life to start, we are ready to work harder than ever, we will agree to any job. As soon as we disembark, we will go south and do what we have always been doing: work and pray.
