Memrise 2.0

Since I’m already familiar with the app, it was a pleasant experience to dive back into the world of words that I didn’t know (but now I know more!).

New vocabulary:

  • amalgamate (to join together or unite, or to cause to join together)
  • fatuous (foolish or done without thinking)
  • preposterous (a synonym to fatuous)

Websites and social networks to study English!

1. Word cloud (to get some inspiration for the topic and to see what other people think about it)

2. Vocabulary.com (you have to choose synonyms for words)

3. PlayPhrase.me (you enter a phrase and the website shows you extracts from movies/TV shows where people use it)

4. memrise! (an amazing app for studying new vocabulary)

5. instagram (believe it or not, i study Spanish there! my favorite teachers are https://instagram.com/spanish.with.vicky?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=. and https://instagram.com/spanishgulnaz?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)

I’m very surprised to receive such a result… Although much of it was just an educated guess based on my intuition, I think it would be better to have an “I don’t know” option, because I don’t think guessing game shows much knowledge.
